Yeah, the earliest stuff was put out by eightball who has released a comp
called Jazz Not House which has some nice AJ type stuff. Also look
around for some of the earlier eightball comps which have some real
early DJ Smash produced tracks like the vocal version of "Flip &
Trip." "Huh!" is a classic and is one of my favorites to mix with. I also
have a record on
the Peace label from a few years ago which has "Oh My God" by Falcon and
I think is an early New Breed related release. I didn't mean to belittle
the early FJGs because they are certainly great and historical. I've
heard lots of New Breed influence in AJ over the years.
