Dear friends,

Tomorrow it has been two years since Greg started this whole thing!
Amazing!! BTW, where is Greg? Still on the road?
I'll include a small piece of the *first* mail ever on the mailing
list at the end.

About unsubs: there is (yet) no way we can have small trailers
(specifying how to unsub) added automatically to all mails on this
list. This implementation will take a while - if implemented at all -
the LISTSERV manager at UCSD tells me.
One solution, as Alexees suggests, is to generate a weekly mail with
the unsub information. Personally I doubt even this will help, but if
others think so I can set it up. Shall I?
To unsubscribe from the mailing list, send a mail like this:

To: Listserv@ucsd.edu
Subject:
unsub YourUserName@Your.Domain.Name acid-jazz

--------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The unsub mail address is listserv@ucsd.edu.
Do not post to the mailing list itself.
--------------------------------------------------

Playing right now:
Gloria Estefan - Abriendo Puertas
The songs are a bit weak I feel, but the album is
still well worth the money. No doubt!
dj bambi - mixtape
Why don't I recognize any of the songs? Excellent!

Cheers,

Welcome to the first official "letter" of the Acid Jazz mailing list.
This is a *very* basic mailing list- a-jazz-l@uhunix.uhcc.hawaii.edu is an
alias with 12 names in it. Nothing special; no compiling, no deleting, no
digests (sorry!!). However, it looks like a there will be a great
information flow- a some from the UK, some from Sweden , and several in
the States and Canada. Now all we need is someone from San Francisco
(Luv' N Haight).....
