Just got some advances on Takemura's new idyllic records/toy's factory.

So far artists include Spiritual Vibes, Silent Poets, Natural Calamity,
Nobukazu Takemura and John Greaves. The Takemura "Child's View Remix"
album is excellent, really interesting remixes of his already brilliant
Child's View record from last year. Track listings:
1. Searching - (Roni Size remix) Bristol jungle by Roni Size and DJ Die
(see Urb Magazine's current issue)
2. For Tomorrow (out-of-phase mix) by Reflection, dubby, chronic
splatters and the keys!
3. Cresent (Cold Cut remix) what more to say?
4. The Lake of Winter (Wagon Christ mix) The best cut on there. Luke
Vibert is a studio magician, speeding up and slowing down single bass
lines with old school hand claps! The original was already orgasmic.
Play loud and let the air out. Totally sick.
5. Reflect Tomorrow (remixed and programmed by Reflection, re-remixed
by Takemura)
Cuts 6,7 and 8 are done by Aphex Twin, Mad Professor and Cold Cut. Buy
this shit when it comes out 10/21/95.

There's also a new Spiritual Vibes 12" "Yawaraka Na Kaze" with some
bent remixes - raw instramentation for mental relaxation.

Best of all, check out the Natural Calamity album, "Andalucian Moon".
For me this is the next shit - real fucking music, lathargic dreamy,
folky, trippy. Very slow hillbillie's on smack meets Patsy Cline in
the desert. The cover of The Creator Has A Master Plan has Palmskin
Production's Simon Richmond on congas and completely blows away that
mega sappy version put forth recently by The Brooklyn Funk Essentials.
This is religious music for heavy contemplation, suicide or a pinic in
Golden Gate Park. Something strange is going on here!

Enjoy...
