More than a few things...

Some various thoughts off the top of my head:

1) The CD compilation is a great idea (unanimous approval)... I hope it will
actually materialize, with all the positive energy already put forth in its
direction. Here's my suggestion, however: perhaps those of us who have had
distributed records already out should be excluded from being on this
compilation. I know this counts me out, but I do feel this compilation would be
more fun if it were all 'new' artists. That would add more to the spirit of
this... anonymous net personalities making their debut CD appearance thanks to
the power of the list! Appropriate.... Anyway, count me in for the purchase of
at least 2 of these CDs.

2) Those of you into forward moving music that doesn't necessarily fall under
'jazz', but maybe loosely into 'electronic funky fusion' ought to check out the
new album by Fluke, entitled "OTO". This thing smokes! It's very electronic, a
bit slow here and there (head noddin', eh), has gruff, spoken male vocals,
tweeky synths, and funky beats. And it all works. The original version of
"Bullet" has one of the most fascinating and beautiful end sections I've heard
in a long time. Wonderful.

3) While on the subject of Fluke, I'm desperately looking for the Fluke 'Bullet"
Dust Brothers mixes (they were calling themselves Dust Brothers on the label
instead of 'Chemical'... that's why it got recalled and is rare). I sold my last
copy of this to Bambi and I want it back! I'm also looking for a German record
by Judge Dread called "Home". If you've got one of these and wanna drop it, feel
free to name a -reasonable- price, or suggest a trade as I have some juicy stuff
of my own here.

4) What does everyone think of the Mo Wax "Clubbed To Death" #1 & #2? I've only
gotten a quick listen, and I am strangely undecided...

5) MIXED EMOTIONS contest! There's a pretty huge typo on the Mixed Emotions
compilation album somewhere... if you can find it, and let me know what it is,
I'll send you a DJ BMF mix tape. E-mail me privately with answers or guesses!

6) Going back to the CD compilation, "Unsubcribe" is my favorite name suggested,
but I don't think it would work. Any discussion of it on this list would say
'Unsubscribe' in the subject header, and we'd all just delete the comment
without reading it. Oh well. But someone should do a song for the compilation
called "Unsubscribing Blues". Or maybe "Ode To Fingers"!

Jeez- with that I leave you. PEACE
