thanks for the info, i have received several similar messages.

note that this channel doesnt announce song titles which makes it
doubtful that its valuable for musicians to actually get their product
played on DMX. if people hear something they like, they have no way to
find out how to buy it (this actually happened to Tony Reid).

this also makes me wonder how artists get paid when the cable company
plays their music. i assume they report their playlists to BMI/ASCAP and
there should theoretically be a fair distribution to all included
artists. but this is a new area and i suspect that alot of the money
will end up in people who dont need it like mariah carey. i heard
similar grumblings about this cable radio system some time ago.

if anyone has insight into this, id like to hear it.
