turntables and then press that cut onto vinyl which in turn is used to
mix with during recording and live performances. Guru is always going on
about not using DATs etc. Also, I understand that Jamaicans press Dub
Plates which sort of serve the same function. Can someone tell me more
about this process. Where do they get these records pressed? It seems
like and expensive route given the availability of DATs, but at the same
time it seems like a more adventurous and flexible means for a DJ.
