Thanks to the few of you sent demos. There has been talk of finally
going ahead on the Knob CD recently, however, it looks like not only
will it be until July before it is released. Unfortunately, between
the Pure Sand and related artists, there may only be enough space for
2 or 3 tracks from this lists members. The "Producer" at that office
seemd to like a couple of tracks enough to put them on the disk, although
he hasn't discloseed to me which ones yet. Sorry to keep you all waiting,
but I think this is as good a sign as any that the list's representation
will be minimal and if y'all are still into the the CDR thing that James
was talking about before, its probably best to just go ahead with that.
They're still accepting demos for the project, and there has been some
talk about potential Japanese licensing, although nothing specific is
rising to the surface on that yet. I'd be wary where talk of licensing
is concerned in any case. (michael -> after a talk with them last night,
I've found that they're a little more wary than the impression I had before.
I want something to work out, but things aren't happening in an ideal
fashion. I'll communicate with you again if talks arise again, but in
the meantime please assume that plans are postponed indefinitely.

Incidentally, plans are moving forward on our local Hip-Hop magazine
project. We're planning to produce a Japanese & English-based magazine
with primarily Japanese and International Hip-Hop info (with some
spillover into Abstract/Jungle/Jazz), and lots of senseless "ill"ness.
The problem is, we're considering means for trying to distribute in US
and Europe in limited quantities and have very little info on distribution
schemes. Could someone with any references (numbers and who to talk to)
at such distribution points offer any suggestions??? We're not looking
for widespread distribution, just the ability to get our mag out to some
of the music stores that matter here and there. This is the last bit of
info we need prior to making presentation to our potential investor, and
not being able to make such contacts has run us into a wall. Someone
please offer a suggestion!!!
The Krush Vid has completed editing and is set to be copied and shipped.
Please be a little more patient while I wait for my pay to come in and
start shipping little by little. (Is the person who offered to help
copy still out there :)
