For those who might care, I'm finally back on the list. I've been
lurking a bit for the past couple of months, but I've finally settled
into San Francisco and my new job in Berkeley. So I thought it's time
     to reintroduce.

I'm not really working on Step Jazz magazine anymore (background: Step
Jazz is/was a freebie jazz & acid jazz magazine that we started in
1993--well before some others) and I've been relatively out of the
loop over the past few months. I'm curious to hear about what's
happening in people's headphones and speakers.

It seems like there's been a serious lack of posts about specific
albums and releases, and a lot of bandwidth being used (and abused) on
people's long-winded highly subjective opinions on a lot of other
stuff (of course that's just my own long-winded opinion). I personally
would like to hear more about what people are listening to, though I
know what I say won't substantially affect what's being posted and not
     being posted.

So, I've been long-winded myself, but I do want to say hi to the
familiar names (Tim Wagner, are you out there?) and introduce myself
     to unfamiliar names.

As far as what I've been listening to, i most recently picked up the
Automator EP on Ubiquity and found it slightly disappointing. Two
songs (can't remember names) stood out, but the rest were fairly slow
on the draw in my opinion. I also picked up the new De La Soul single
     which sounded quite good.

So, that's all for now. Sorry for the wind factor.
