My name is Derek, I am the producer of That Phat- a local groove (acid)
jazz studio project. If you live in San Diego, you probably know or
have seen some of the musicians on our project...guys from Unsteady,
the Greyboy Allstars, Berserkestand, the Origin, Gangbusters, Borracho
Y Loco, the Price of Dope, Rollo, and others.
It's not really a band, it's more like a bunch of great musicians
getting together in the studio to make groove jazz music. Our disc is
called "The Groove Jazz E.P.". We had it mixed professionally so it
sounds good by Eric Sarafin who mixed the Brand New Heavies, the
Pharcyde, and the Greyboy Allstars among others. The mastering was done
by Dave Collins of A&M (the Police, Sting, etc.)
