another excellent track by Gary Bartz that is also on an ubiquity/luv n'
haight comp is "celestial blues." also along the same down and dirty funk
vein, chech out the karl denson album, "d stands for diesel," with the kick
ass track "bougainvillea" which features the the same talented vocalist who
sang on "celestial blues," andy bey.

That's Gary Bartz. The track is available on the NEW JAZZ SPECTRUM
compilation on BGP (Cat. No. CDBGPD 085), and is definitely worth
checking out. The whole comp is great, very similar to the JAZZ
DANCE CLASSICS series on Ubiquity.
