Was privledged to see The Horace Silver Septet last night. Twas a beatiful
experience. Stand out tunes- A Girl from Johannessburgh and Song for My
Father. The Latter feautured some marvelous soloing from Mr. Silver. Kudos to
baritone saxman Phil Vuiex (sp?), who practically stole the show with a big
FAT tone and some great, inspired playing. Has anyone heard the latest Horace
release-Hardbop from Grandpop? Looking to check it but would like some opines
first.

ooooooooh, yeeeaaaaaahhhh!

peace,
