Some news from Big Cheese Records:
- Their rap sub-label Plug It is gonna have a big party on the
13th of April, to celebrate the outcome of Schkoonk's LP "Sur les
paves", together with Yaya's maxi. The featured DJs will be (three
dancefloors):
- Gilb-R and Loic (radio nova), Simone (cap crew, Italy)
- Shuff (King Kooba UK) Kurser (Schkoonk) Zaz (220 volts)
- Cut Killer (nova), Alex Double A (Mad Lausanne), and of
course Momo & Simon (Big Cheese)
There will be as well showcases and live videos... quite a huge party,

By the way, the design for the Plug It and 220 Volts labels pages has

- Next record on Big Cheese Records is "Le Menu Kebab", the second
volume of their Menu compilation. I had the opportunity to give a
quick listen to it, quite funky, but no idea about the artists (except
that DAG's "righteous" is featured, but otherwise the material seemed
all brand new); the same smelly & funky flavour as the Menu 1,
however.
- We plan to maintain one or more playlists on Big Cheese's site.

(of course, he feels like advertising the Big Cheese, so you can find
many Fromage's artists there :).
And perhaps more news to come, such as events in Paris and things like
that. On Zaz's label, 220 Volts Records, a comp should be out in a few
weeks (months?), featuring artists like St Germain, Fifa, Gilb R and
so on.

By the way, I called DJ Chris at Yellow Productions, looking for a
contact with La Funk Mob, but he said there is no way of getting in
touch with them "commercially", they want to stay underground...
Finding their records will still be a (very exciting) game!
