Salut,

First of all, to apologize for the upcoming question, an information:
the Motorbass LP has now been reissued, it's really good. Track
listing can be found on the La Funk Mob discography at
http://cermics.enpc.fr/~dh/yellow/funk_mob.html, anyway here is the
information for those who don't have access to www:

Motorbass - "Pansoul"
(1996, 374.0002.12 P310) distributed by PIAS France (fax export: 32 25 21 88
37)

NOTES: Music by Philippe Zdar et Etienne de Crecy
Track Listing:

Ezio
Flying Fingers
Les Ondes
Neptune
Wan Dence
Genius
Pariscyde
Bad Vibes (D.Mix)

The label is really mysterious, I hope to find out more, but for the
moment that's all I know.

Now to the question:
I just had for my birthday a Mackie-1202 mixer; my friends thought it
would be the best for me since I play in a group of musicians and I do
mmixtapes for them as well. I've heard it's a very good mixer, but it
does not fit very well for djying, since levels are set by rotating
knobs. I think I'll use it more for DJying (mixing songs, and perhaps
even trying to learn a bit of scratching), and I have an opportunity
to change it at the shop for something of the same price. Can some of
the many DJs out here make me suggestions on what to do? Should I keep
it, should I change to something else (and if so, what model?), should
I add something to the mixer to make it usable for DJying? I'm really
new at djying, remember... I know this question is out of subject
here, so please reply to my personal email adress: dh@cermics.enpc.fr

Merci beaucoup!

Daniel
