Increasing list volume...

I for one do not wish to unsuscribe to the list, it truely is
a great resource for expanding ones musical tastes/knowledge.

BUT... the disadvantages of the volume of the list is outweighing
the advantages lately...

So what does anyone think about the following propositions:
(Please reply to me, not to the list, lets try to keep this
from adding to the problem also...)

1)Is it possible to convert the nature of this from a list to that
of a digest (that is all messages are compiled into one mail
and sent out every 12 hours)

Or...

2)Is two lists possible... is this a valid solution? i.e.
'acid-jazz-news'
-this is the one I would suscribe to!
post here for disc reviews/releases
touring info ect...
'acid-jazz-disc'
-post here for discussions ect... which seem
to be the bulk of the mail in this list...

If one was to post a message to 'acid-jazz-news' it would
also automatically be posted to 'acid-jazz-disc', so basically
those of you who are happy w/ the current list would suscribe
to 'acid-jazz-disc', and those (like I) that use this list
as a resource more so than a discussion group would suscribe to
'acid-jazz-news'

I doubt solution #2 will work, most people would just post to
'acid-jazz-disc' reguardless of the content of the post.
Solution #1, at least in my opinion, sounds like a winner to me...
Many of you out their are happy w/ the current system, but those
of us who are not @ their PC or workstation often, are forced to
sift important mail from a multitude of list posts...
