Marc,

You could try a new compilation just out on Jazz Fudge records
entitled 'Organised Sound' (JFR 005). A brilliant album of slow trip
hop/hip hop tunes in the vein of DJ Shadow from the likes of DJ Vadim
and DJ Greenpeace alongside Portishead styled female vocal tracks from
Little Aida and a few others whom I haven't heard of before as well as
a few trip hop flavoured rap tracks from Mark B., MCM and Lewis Parker
amongst others. I haven't had a chance to listen to it all yet but
what I have heard is brilliant.

On the subject of DJ Shadow is anyone else out there also disappointed
with his new 12" 'Midnight In A Perfect World'? Nothing really new
although he does briefly touch on jungle in the Gift Of The Gab Mix.
The B-side 'Mutual Slump' however is brilliant and takes his drum
programming to yet another higher level.

Colin.
