I agree VERY strongly with what you are saying here, there are so many
tracks which I've heard on the radio or read about in magazines which I
am deeply annoyed to find STILL aren't out, what's even worse is when
the official release dates get put back week by week (in the UK at
least, the last LAMB single had its release date put back 3 times and
I'm STILL waiting for the 100th release on Moving Shadow records - I
think even number 107 has been release now.). Another aspect of record
buying here in England is that big record labels whack up the prices of
records a week after they've been released (and after they've got into
the charts - ensuring a larger audience to buy at the inflated price)
which means that in order to get all the latest singles at a decent
price you have to go record shopping at least once a week.

The only way to get around having to wait is by buying promo copies in
dodgy second hand music shops, but then you end up with nasty looking
white labels which don't sit too well in your record collection.
