it's in heavy rotation in my CD Player for the last few days..
I find most of DJ Kicks series (on Berlin based K7 label) pretty good,
this one (!K7056CD) being no exception. But be careful, since its hard
to compare different DJ Kicks CDs. Stacey Pullen was of course
techno/house, mostly up-tempo, Nicolette (Massive Attack vocalist),
surprisingly, even more techno/electronica/jungle, more experimental and
far from the mainstream, then Kruder&Dorfmeister DJ Kicks did very nice
Acid Jazz/trip hop/jungle set. All the above recommended. Rockers HiFi
is down-tempo, it flows nicely, but slowly, with lots of dub and dub
influenced tracks that go well with Farda P's voice (heard on most of
the tracks, like a reminder that its Rockers HiFi record), lots of bass
(good speakers recommended). I wonder if it's just mine impression, but
it seems to be meant for a blunted listener (maybe it's because of this
lengthy sample on track 8), definitely not for dancing, head nodding
maybe.

track listing:
1. Farda P Rockers Intro
