Im trying to think of any BIG names or singles that come to mind as far as
being 'unforgettable hip house'... Cant really think of any... Yeah there
was Stomp by K-YZE...Doug Lazy's stuff, etc etc... But did hip house really
make an impact?... It seemed at best a fad...

Since we're talking house... I just want to mention (Im sure Ive mentioned
it before) The tragedy that TALENTED people like Mr. Fingers (Larry Heard)
and Robert Owens had to leave the US just to sell records...

On another note, I just saw a video by Grace...If I could fly or
something... drum and bass... How is the rest of her stuff??

dear List:
I just recently got the issue of Keyboard with the cover dedicated to
plug-ins. Inside it had a feature on the history of house music and
mention of a Cd ,out now that has all- new tracks by Farley Jackmaster
Funk, Fast Eddie , Frankie Knucles, etc. This all
brought to mind a question about Hip_house 1) Why
did it die ? Hip Hop is stringer than ever in the market. At one point
hip-house was outselling all other types of house. 2) What
happened to Dj International? They were the main hip-house label. did
they take hip-house down with them . What happened any way ? I heard it
was funny business practices. anyway I still collect thEIr stuff
when i SEE IT IN BINS. MARKEG@HOTMAIL.COM
