Sorry if this is a bit off the subject, but...
I bought a studio magazine this weekend called Sound on Sound. It's kind
of a tech recording mag that explains a few audio/midi programs and goes
into detail about recording on the PC (with a great discussion about
soundcards). Anyway, in the magazine there are quite a few mail order type
mini catalogs- companies that will set up a computer to your specs for
recording purposes. The problem is that all of these companies are in
Europe. Does anyone know of the same type of companies in the States? I
refuse to even visit Guitar Center or even WLA Music (I live in LA). Any
ideas?
