Dear List: with all these double cds comig out . I My
pproach has been to put them off and buy the newest single cd set first.
Well I finally got hold of Wu-tag forever( still pending Rakim ,
Biggie-which I at least heard and liked ,and Soon Ice cube) and listened
to it while surfing. I have heard Raekwons Only built for Cuban linx
referred to as trip-hop and with this new Wu/rza set iwould agree . If
you are a fan of Mo'wax or Portishead,whose "elysium" is a Wu-homage
anyway, you would like this. The only difference is the drunken rants of
OL Dirty bastard and th fie percet rants that may be offputting but then
Gil-scoot heron , MLK, and Malcolm x have long been favorite sample
sources for practitioners of this style going back to Shadows first
Mowax release. This 2cd set is fairly tight but most of these
things(BoneThugs) have a tendency to run outta gas . Now Ice Cube is
coming with one too. 2pac's isnt oo bad either
