Kid Koala is from Montreal - he's a DJ who's been rippin up ish at
national DJ compititions in Canada and he's also the DJ in a
Jazz-Funk band BULLFROG (from Montreal). They've got a CD out (indie
release) and they also appear on the Mo Funk FRESH JAZZ VIBES Vol.
2 compilation. The band is incredible (not just saying this because
I'm from Canada too) - the best live flow I've seen between a DJ and
a full band (drums, organs, bass, vocals, etc.).

The Ninja Tunes show is dropping by Toronto this Saturday. On the
topic of DJs on a more local tip, if you're into DJ showing off and
proving their skills, might want to check out the DMC city wide DJ
competition in Toronto on Saturday,March 1. Local DJs struttin their
skills with the top three selected for the national competitions.
class in terms of skills - definitely worth checking out if you're
in the Toronto vicinity.
