Just want to pitch in on my humble opinion about the new US3. Got it
from Japan (release date 11/27/96!!), been listening to it for 1 week
now.....Overall it is real good, but I think they emphasized the rap
part much more in this album. The main tenet of almost every song is
the male vocal rap, and then a kind of stable beat in the background for
the whole song...so if you like that, then you will LOVE it. For me,
I'd like a bit more variety in the music than that, and I feel that in
that sense their old one was much more creative. Of course, like last
time, they used a lot of sampling from older Funk and Jazz standards,
which was cool. BTW, in my opinion, ignore the 2nd track 'Come On
Everybody', it totally sounded like a reminiscent version of 'Cantaloop
(Flip Fantasia)'.
