A couple of concerns:
I have been asked about who's going to decide on the music. Well if we can
get snips of the tracks uploaded somewhere, that'll be easy - the list as a
whole. I for one know that I don't want to impose my stylistic preferences on
something that is supposed to be *ours* and I'd imagine that most other people
don't want to perform that task either.
I have been asked about where to send tapes - I've replied to everyone
individually about this I think - the message is just hold on tight until we
figure out how the uploading is supposed to be done. The only person who
needs to receive tapes is the person who'll convert them into soundfiles and
while that may wind up being me, I want to figure that out when I get home.
Furthermore, I apologize to list members who aren't interested - though
they're probably deleting my messages by now - I don't have the capability out
here to set up a distribution list.
So again, if you are interested in participating in the acid jazz list
compilation, please email jbrancazio@hamquist.com. I am setting up a list of
peoples interests, expected time frame for submission, and email addresses.
