I recently spoke with a DJ friend of mine who told me that he was
invited to join a recording/production session with Courtney Pine that
is supposed to be including some members of Carlos Santana's band. The
guy who invited him (didn't get names) is apparently a member of
Santana.

What's most surprising to me is that the studio they're supposed to
work in is in the middle of my Monterey, CA (Carmel Valley to be
specific). Well, it is the home of the Monterey Jazz Festival so I
guess it does sort of make sense. I might just have to go home that
weekend and see if I can't sneak in with my friend...

Does anyone know what Courtney's up to? I wonder if this is work for a
new album.
