I can tell you what im doing..its FAR form a professional solution (im
allready looking for something better) but it works :)

I got a AWE32 with 8 megs of ram (for samples and soundbanks) + a cheap
mother-keyboard.
The samples are worked on with both Cooledit and a Creativelabs
wave-editor.
then they are loaded onto the AWE32's RAM either as soundbanks or as
samples.
For sequencing i use Cakewalk Pro 5.0 (wich is great)...it works
perfectly with
the selfmade soundbanks and samples/loops i have.

Still..this WILL be inadequit after a while.. im allready looking for
something else.
As of now ive planned a homestudio consisting of a computer with a
Roland,Yamaha or Turtlebeach soundcard, Either a Roland or E-Mu external
soundbank, a better keyboard, a cheap sampler and hopefully a MC-303.

allso, today i record the final product with a pretty decent Technics
tape deck.. but i think harddisc recording in combination with a DAT
player (for the final mix) could work ALOT better....

Well..good luck :)
