ok - let's play devil's advocate here then...

can we all say that we do not buy second hand records or CDs ?
how about all you DJs out there - do you keep all the records
and CDs you buy forever, or do you circulate them to other DJs ?
even if you gave them away, that would be taking money from the
pockets of the artists.

how many of us buy (or receive, free-of-charge) mix tapes ?
certainly, this is putting the music in a different *package*,
but the artists aren't getting anything from the disbursement of
their music.

a touchy subject, i agree, but we should all brush up on the
US Copyright laws, and know how the RIAA/ASCAP/BMI, etc. feel about
this before any of us start pointing fingers.
