Dear List:
There is so much to say i'll just do it in list Form. 1)
Pharcyde and NOw_- who's on first? The Pharcyde though they both used
sligthly different parts of the same Quincy Jones record. My point was
not about Simplicity or complexity( I prefer the simple stuff with no
more than 4 sounds in a given part of the song and lots of space) but
creativity. I dont want to by some much jocked Trip hop single only to
find that it is a beat that was "brought out" -or back by a rap group
with some tiny difference. If N.o.w. was a group of Yanks they
would get dissed. DJ Cam same thing! 2) The Decline of the list;
other than seasonal Unsubbs I m not aware of a decline. Though
that is a huge reason for the drop-off in traffic.
3) a fools ignorance etc. what?? 4)
Chop shop- get representing and Hip-hop collage by these guys to hear
real instrumental hip-hop. Thier stuff is jazzy but very good back of
the crates type stuff. 5
generally- I dont diss simple stuff or even repetitive 1 sample from one
record stuff. i dont mind Taking a hip hop loop and adding to it it.
Actually Dj cam isnt that bad... he did put stuff on top. but if
there is no difference between your 12' and the b-side of a much loved
rap tune thatspretty bad. %) Headz2
lesser son of headz : I agree ;its good in spots but it isnt the
slammer headz was.
