I'm a club & radio dj, music scribe, and event organizer in Toronto. I'm
also one of
the people behind this year's Acid Jazz GROOVE Festival which Roger made mention
of and was asking about in this message:

The GROOVE Festival happens Aug. 20-24 here in Toronto, with a special pre-Fest
event/party on the 19th. Here's the line-up for the Festival:
