hello fellow listees! it's caron banez checking in.
>
haven't been on the list in months, though i've been checking the
archives. new yorkers - did anyone else make it to the details mag
party for their music issue last night at life club? as they have hired
a new music editor from buzz magazine, they must have taken a spin like
every other mainstream mag and are heavily concentrating on this
electronic stuff or so i'm gathering from their choice of performers for
their party last night. (as i glanced at the mag, it seems as though
they are trying to be more like paper magazine who coincidentally also
has a music issue out) talvin is incredible...i'm sure he's already
warranted lots of discussion on the list, but he played tracks from his
anokha album - asian sounds of the underground which i've been really
into -- every track is gorgeous...it's like indian music meets drum n
bass. i left while spring heel jack was on and was wondering if lamb
ever came on and what they were like.

i'm working at a small label which is a subsidiary of toshiba/emi in
japan and also doing advertising for mixmag now as well as on the one.
(so anyone interested in advertising or in sponsoring on the one's three
year anniversary party, please call me.) u.f.o. and other special
guests will be performing at our anniversary shindig at the dna in s.f.
a month from today, 7/26.

also, has anyone ever been to the billboard dance music summit? i may
go, so would like to know if the panels are really informative or is it
really just an excuse to have a party weekend in chicago?

you can e-mail me back here. i'm still not on the list, but will
subscribe soon.
