I think Ray Hayden and the Opaz crew has very much the same smooth and
cool (U.K.) sound that Loose Ends had.
Opaz's album "Back from the raggedy edge" (double vinyl) is brillant
and has an amazingly good sound. I can really recommend this album.

Ray Hayden recently produced Martine Girault's new album in the same
style. It's not as good as expected, but it's worth buying anyway for
that "Revival" track.
