Hi there groovers,
I've just come back from seeing them live in York, UK. The venue was a
small pub, for roughly 400 people, and it was packed. The atmosphere was
lively, with loads of "fans" there, and the ad. outside said "Corduroy, the
Kings of Acid Jazz Return".

What can I say about it? Absolutely amazing - that's what. The set
included a lot of new material from their new album (which I'll be buying
tomorrow, If I can get the cash together) and tunes off of their previous
albums. All of them were full of energy, and full of improvisation,
banging out the sound which they're so famous for.
Tunes (what I know the names of ) played were:

The Joker Is Wild
High Havoc
London England
Something In My Eye
Don't Wait For Monday
Mini
Motorhead
Chowdown
The Hand that Rocks the Cradle

+ others off of the new album.

If you get the chance, make the effort to see them. They're well worth
it, even if they do tour without a horn section. Scott provided many of
the vocals, with contributions from the rest of the band, and provided us
all with a good laugh by playing the keys whilst standing up on his seat
and waving his hands around....

It's a shame the set lasted just over an hour. :( Oh well, hopefully
next time it'll be longer.

I'm outta here,
Japes.
