Found this blurb on ABC Online, definitely mainstream:

Dr. Octagon Opening for Beck
Dr. Octagon, the hip-hop collective that made its stunning debut a few
weeks ago with Dr. Octagonecologyst, just announced dates and venues
for its debut live-show gig opening for a couple of Beck shows. On May
28,a Pontiac, Michigan, show will mark the first time the band takes
the stage in front of an audience, and it will be followed by another
show on May 30 at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. "I'm
really looking forward to playing with Beck because his audience is
pretty much our audience," said the Automator, one third of the Dr.
Octagon trio. "We're both kinda urban and kinda weird." Onstage, the
Automator runs the drum machine, DJ Q-Bert joins him on the
turntables, and Kool Keith handles the vocals. The three will be
assisted by several other hip-hoppers, including Sir Menelik,
who will act as their "hype man," and De La Soul's Prince Paul, who
will host the entire show. Following their dates with Beck, Dr.
Octagon will join the Lollapalooza tour, while Beck will hook up with
Neil Young and the rest of the HORDE.

Also heard Daft Punk used on 48Hours last night....
