I think Rawkus is doing a very good job on bringing out a lot of pure =
non-commercially orientated hiphop lately and would like to label them =
as the best label of 97'. Mos' Def, and Company Flow are mos' definitely =
good examples of this.

I saw a great jazzy/funky Holland-based band today. They are called =
Grupo Bacan and play Brazilian acid-jazz. The Brazilian singer has a =
great voice and lives in Rotterdam. The bassist did a lot of freaking =
out on his bass that looked like he had found it in the garbage =
somewhere. They have a cd but I'm not sure if it can be obtained outside =
the Netherlands, I'll check it out if someone is interested.=20

I am already looking forward to all the Christmass cd's! Let's see who =
is the most commercial acid-jazz band of 97' How about some jingle beat =
and silent nodd tunes.=20
