I won't wait till tomorrow :)

Portishead bores me, just like Massive Attack does. The music is not
bad, but it's the vocals... as for Portishead being the first in
its genre, I dunno I seem to remember some One Dove coming out before
Dummy. Hey even an old Dust Brothers (the english ones, now Chem)
track with female vocals (can dig it out if some1 wants to
know the title) sounded very much like the same genre. Anyway I'm
rambling, my point: is to me, THEY ALL SOUND LIKE THAT DEPRESSING
COCTEAU TWINS CRAP *flame on* :P :P (Remove the extra singing and you
get some incredible tracks ala Red Snapper, even if you keep some
vocal bits). It hurts me to hear perfectly produced tracks spoiled by
vocals that are not up to par. Same goes with UFO *flame on again* I can
usually only stand their instrumental remixes.

My favourite god-like production efforts: Mighty Bop (as long as
Louise Vertigo isn't singing) and most Yellow artists, K&D, some
Krush.
In my could-have-kicked-ass-if-better-produced bin: early Vadim,
Roy Marquis II (Differenz), some LoveLee... but I kind of like the
underground feel of cheaper productions too.
