fs> to my knowledge, she is american.

yes, she is.

> Who is she connected with/a protege of etc etc...

her mother is paulette mcwilliams (bizzy studio singer, on par w/the waters
family...)

fs> i know jermaine dupri did some work for her on her first album. i
fs> don't = know if that one saw stateside release. i bought the new one.

if you're talking about "take advantage..." it was released in the u.s.--it
just got ignored!

fs> special gue= sts abound; billy preston, al mckay, bobby watson, claire
fs> fischer (who's = done string arrangements for tony toni tone and O(+>).

mr. fischer's *actually* a salsa legend (who has beef w/the
(mis)transcription of his standard "pensativa" in the "real book"--they used
freddie hubbard's version, which varies harmonically & structurally from the
original) on organ, but is mostly busy these days (as previously stated)
doing
string arrangements...

> I will be buying this
fs> it's a very solid album, and i stress album. it's not a singles
fs> collectio= n. very cohesive, sets a funky, sexy, jazzy mood. strong
fs> vocals and the = band sizzles.

it's nice to see press on this release, and i hope it goes somewhere!! i
haven't heard any of it yet, and i hope there's some tracks on there for us
djs to flex!
