I just saw them last nite, and i thought that vadim was awesome...maybe
some don't like him as much because he is very hip hop oriented, but he
definately has the turntable skills like the herbaliser dj's do....herbaliser
was awesome also, but it didn't seem like chocolate weasle were into their
act that much...the show was awesome though...dont miss the next ninja
tour, they haven't let me down yet!! =]

Weasel and DJ Vadim weren't so great. Especially not DJ Vadim, who
scratched on the tables, missing beats and playing some pretty numbing
vibes. Numbing as in not making much of a scene. And he seems to like to
mouth hip-hop rap crap stuff as if he's singing it. Vadim was a serious
disappointment, and was only saved by a few funky vibes such as a "Light
My Fire" remake.

>Neotropic was trippy. The aural soundscapes she was creating were
disturbing and climactic at different times. She seems to like to push the
crowds expectations until the tension is about to blow up the room and then
release it by introducing a drum & bass beat. Her experimentation with
different sounscapes was interesting.

mind)" are reminiscent of dub and create a full stack of punch. Pick up the
CD. Go see Jake and Ollie in concert. Herbaliser is a team to watch.

you can pick up there for cheaper than any other evil CD store in Vancouver
city...about 15 bucks a pop.

the week. I can understand Sonar wants to get crowds in on dead days, but
some people have to work during the week. I'd be there every day if I could.
