Hey list,

I had the pleasure of hanging out with fellow AJer and list member
"LGordon" on his recent trip to Atlanta. It's funny how we AJers have
quite a few things in common besides the music. Lee brought over a
backpack filled with AJ CDs. I wanted to play them all. He turned me
on to 9 Lazy 9, Bill Laswell. King Britt's Sylk 130 and many, many
others. I'm glad we hung out. I got a chance to check out a new store
in Atlanta's "Little Five Points" that carry mostly vinyl. The good
thing is that you could listen to the vinyl before you buy on several
turntables that were set up. The store carried mostly Techno, Ambient
and House, but it did carry some Ol Skool Hip Hop and AJ. We also hung
out at Tower Records. They always have a great selection of AJ. I
finally picked up this compilation CD by the Italian label "Irma." It
contains a cut by Gazzara called "Sexuality." Anyone on the list have
any background on the group. Let me know. Thanks Lee for the great
weekend. I hope to hit the west coast to do the same. I must say list,
many of the groups mentioned on here are as we say in Atlanta "tight."
Keep em' coming.

Peace,

Boone

while enjoying the atlanta end of a cross country road trip from
seattle, i picked up a cd single by jhelisa called "freedom from pity".
it is completely off the hook, and each mix is totally bomb. anyone
familiar with jhelisa knows her concious lyrics and vocals stylings add
up to a neo-millenial goddess. this single from dorado last year came
as a complete surprise to me. has anyone seen a full length from
jhelisa yet? i would recommend immediate acquisition to anyone out
there. peace.

tears for fears- "woman in chains" (feat. olivia adams)
