I guess the funkiest LP is "It's Just Begun". It's not a rarity, but it is very
funky - especially the title track. I've got a question about this song
actually. It's on one of the Ultimate Breaks and Beats and it has got the spoken
"Let's go back - back in to time" intro (sampled on something in the 80's - some
Coldcut remix I think). The version on the album is the same apart from not
having this intro. Was the intro on the 7" or was it added on by the UBB people
- in which case, where did it actually come from?

His earlier stuff (60's) is latin boogaloo type stuff. I've got "Hey Leroy",
which is good but very different to the 70's funk material. I've got another of
his 70's albums which isn't so good. It's got a song on it about Dracula. I
think a lot of his stuff was a bit on the wacky side. I think it was JC who did
a song called "Bertha Butt Boogie" about a cavewoman!
