The sleeve was correct. The Other Side are one of several
contemporary groups that record retro-style funk on Desco
Records. If you're into the JB's sound, you'll probably
like it. But with all the great CLASSIC funk reissues
coming out, I'd slip this one down in the priority list
if I were you.

Another recent release on Desco is THE REVENGE OF MR. MOPOJI
by Mike Jackson and the Soul Providers. This is a fake
soundtrack to a nonexistent blaxploitation kung-fu flick,
with snippets of dialogue and sound effects blended into the
funky score.

Now for the real deal: anybody heard JAMES BROWN'S FUNKY
DIVAS on Polydor?
