Hey Mike, sounds like a great idea! One thing that I consider absolutely
necessary in a jazz club is good acoustics for acoustic instruments. No
echos or sounds bouncing around the room seems pretty essential to me. Soft
interiors like carpeting or some kind of paneling usually helps alot.
Obviously, concrete everywhere is a definite no no. Also, a dark club with
candles at every table certainly lends great atmosphere to the club. If
you're thinking about a lounge-type place, there's a club here in Montreal
that used great decorating ideas and really succeeded in creating a very
comfy environment. The place is packing them in 7 days a week, so if u want
