Honestly < I think Whats going on is overated as well. Mainly because
it is praised more than "Lets get it on". "Whats.. " is the
kinda album you are proud of owning and play once in a while.
"Lets....." is a album youll play always. IF MG had stopped with
"whats.." i would give it all the praise; but when you know the same man
later cut "Lets Get It On" then you would think that record would get
the props as a record for every daylife.

I agree wholeheartedly........perhaps it might also be useful to think
back to what was "Going On" in the United States when Marvin put out
that album.
Not only was it a musical masterpiece, but here was a Black artist
finally taking a stand on the key issues facing the country at that
point & doing so AGAINST the wishes of his record company!
