Well, to bring two threads together I remember seeing a Marvin Gaye tribute
on MTV/VH-1 where massive attack did a cover with Madonna singing lead.
Maybe if she has worked with one side of the Bristol sound she can work on
the other?

And, anyone seen the Vicoria's Secret ad? It has the massive's 'Safe From
Harm' in the background.

Yes, that ad is cool. Massive Attack's "Safe From Harm" is one of my all-time
favorite tracks, as is that album.

And regarding the Madonna thing, everyone knows she got her start in the NYC
nightclub scene anyway, so as is mentioned in a recent article (I believe the
one from the latest Vanity Fair w/ Madonna cover), I suppose she's just
staying "true to her roots." Whatever.

I listened to her cd at Virgin Megastore the other night, and well, I can't
say I was disappointed... I don't know why I even bothered to listen anyway.
What was I expecting??? I guess it's not that it's a horrible album. I could
probably even deal with the music part, but with her vocals the whole thing
seems so "soul-less." (Especially compared to the next few cd's I listened
to: Marcus Miller's latest Live album; King Britt... which I'm patiently
waiting for my promo copy of, promised by a friend).

What I did buy that night: Brigette McWilliams "Too Much Woman"; a
replacement copy of my all-time-favorite-always-on-the-cd player Al Green
("Greatest Hits" - this particular version made in England); and a new one by
Natalie Imbroglia... however you spell her name - it's a cool cd though, but a
little too pop for the most part.
