The new United DJs of America is excellent house music. It's not
acid-jazz, nor is it really "jazz-house." Rather Farina throws down some
great pure house, deep, bassy, uplifting. If you listen to house, and are
getting frustrated by the continuing reign of speed garage, and hi-nrg
bullshit, this CD is for you. Farina now makes his home between Chicago
and San Francisco (at least according to various flyers) and his taste in
house certainly combines the best of both towns, fusing the
bluesy-underbelly of Northern urban house with the decadence of the West
Coast.
