I was reading recently in an Alan Watts book (zen philosipher) where he
speaks of an "eccentric" musician friend of his who played the piano. He
actually had a performance at a concert hall where he didn't play a
single note. The performance consisted of (like below) silence,
occasional cough, and an uncomfortable gradual rustling around, etc.
etc. How funny is that? Was probably only amusing once though. Doesn't
sound like he is going to keep very much of a following he keeps pulling
stunts like that! =) I think it's great though, when an artist can do
something to force you to look at something seemingly ordinary and see
it in a different light.
