I have seen a Marantz CDr-630 CD-R without the SCMS in Pro Sound & Stage
Lighting (http://www.pssl.com), but the cheapest one is listed at $1,200,
so your paying for copyright in your orininal purchase.
But, I do see that Stereophile the uppity Hi-Fi mag does rate the Poineer
Elite PDR-99 CD-R quite high, B grade, but, its $2000, and it does have
SCMS, they rate the less expensive CDR880 fo rlist of $649. But, I always
wonder about just getting a good CD-R for my computer and then burning my
own, no SCMS.
