regarding the post about the perfect beats party, i was listening to
vol. 4 of perfect beats, and there were some good old tunes -- standards
like the blackbyards' rock creek park and lonnie liston smith's
expansions, james brown's give it up turn it loose. there's nothing
like good old funky stuff, down and dirty. though i can't really say i
liked the other volumes, 1-3.
did i already mention freezone 5 before on SSR/crammed disk yet? it's a
brilliant double CD comp. i can't remember who is on it, except for
spacetime continuum, dj q, and joe clausell.
