heya all,

Just got back into town so excuse the slight delay in responding to this
topic. While I'm not a huge house head, a coupla things that would fall
somewhat into the "jazzy house" area have been rockin' my tables:

Buscemi's full-length (yippeee!) "Mocha Supremo" is fantastic. If you enjoy
the thought of deep house with latin influences meeting drum & bass and
more, then check this album. Innovative and funky as hell. Two EP's
preceeded the album, both excellent. Outta Belgium I believe.

Have many of you heard the Masters at Work treatment of the Manu Dibango
classic? Wow!! On a limited 12" with a King Britt vs. Herbie Mann gem on
the flip. Pricey piece of vinyl, but well worth it. I believe that Gilles
Peterson dropped both sides when we had him here for the Urban Rythm Fest a
coupla weeks back.

Then there's the Sun Sun compilation "Ceci N'est Pas Une Compilation..."
mixing up the styles with stuff by Kruder and Dorfmeister, Bob Sinclair
(whose own full-length is beautiful deep funky house), Ski, Jazzanova, DJ
Cam, Die and more. Way nice.

Ahhh...gotta love the days when you have enough time to share your
excitement about music. Too few and far between of late, so no postings in
quite a while. I've been enjoying many of yours though folks. Thanks 'n
peace out.
