Phonophile 002: City Lights: this was mentioned on the list so I was
psyched to find it. Tdashi Yabe's smooth and eclectic mix.

Phonophile 003: Circles: mixed by Jazznova, I got this on the phonophile
name alone and I was not disappointed. I wonder if any knows more about
who Jazznova is, and what else I can find of his/theirs?

Jazzanova is a group of producers from Berlin Germany. Kosma is part of it
as well. The label is JCR (a subdivision [?] of Compost). They have a
Fedime's Flight, Bohemian, Allee der Kosmonauten 12" and a second,
Caravelle, Konclave, Introspection 12". They have a remix on the 4Hero
reinterpretations record, remixed Marshmellows "Soul Power", Har-You
Percussion group on Ubiquity, and a remixed Soul Bossa Trio track. That's
just what i found, i know there are more though. Oh also they have a track
on Future sound of Jazz Vol. 4. and a track on the new OM compilation
"Convergence". If you dig this stuff, look into Dj Matsuoka. This one track
"excellent bird" takes a sample from a herbie hancock track (is it
chameleon? i think so...) and it is fat as hell..

Is that Circles comp, mostly Jazzanova remixes? I don't know why i was under
that impression... Is it only available on CD?

Frederic Galliano:

Espaces Baroques & Electric Sextet: WOW THIS IS THE SHIT! Very Bitches
Brew feeling jazz. Fredric does beats and programming, while there are
vocals, saxs etc. This feels like one of the best mixes of electronica and
live instruments I heard in a LONG time, HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.

yyyeaaa baby. This stuff is deep like Pharoah Sanders. Love it!!!

from Germany:

tribes of da underground vol 4: strings 'n' bass & things: This is a
compilation compiled by the german label Infracom. Artists include:
switchblade sisters, fusion forum, pathless, rainer truby trio, guem &
zaka, waiwan, outside, pressure drop, max schneinder. This is a good jazz,
dance electronica comp. I'd love to know more about pathless and waiwan.

I just recently found this series and it's dope. I just picked up Vol. 3. If
anyone has the dirt on previous volumes any info would be much appreciated.
Yea, Waiwan, i'm pretty sure, is a DJ from Japan. His full length is
entitled Distracted and there is a single for Goddess. Do what ever you have
to do to get this! =) hope this helped....
