Looks great but feels like the code isn't quite finished.

I just gave my old Alesis HR-16, Yamaha FB-01 and a line mixer to my
girlfriends 14 year old brother. The stuff has been gathering dust for a
while but the kid sees it as treasure. Anybody else here ever do that?
Maybe the next generation of producers needs some free gear to get started?
