don't know about the new Moloko but I really like the track on Handsome
Boy Modeling School with Rosin and J-Live. Actually I liked all the
tracks I've heard off the album, one with Mike D and the girl from Cibo
Matto, maybe called Metaphysical? and Bear Witnesses 2

A couple of things I've picked up lately (usually on the recommendation
of this list), though I really haven't given them all a good listen yet
:

Peace Orchestra- wow. I waited on this cause it was on CD, so I had to
make extra sure it was worth it. Really deep & lush, with occasional
vocals in just the right spots. Another reason I waited was because I
had the idea it would be more tech-y than organic. wrong, its pretty
jazzy.

High & Mighty- I've only listened to this once but I was surprised how
good the beats were. theres a track with kool keith and what what
rapping about masturbation that cracked me up. also eminem guests on a
song and he didn't hardly aggravate me at all (same with chronic 2001)

Mammal, the big ten pair- I think I saw this on playlists over a year
ago, and think I've heard him on beta lounge and it was cheap so I got
it. I love when I buy a record for stupid reasons ("yeah, that song
sucks but in the store I liked the cover") and it turns out good. Some
heavy slow beats with some keys and a rapping sample thrown in (we rock,
we roll, we jam) and jamming west coast sounding (to me) track and 2
tracks of oddness.

Pepe Deluxe- I thought I was ordering the album and it took forever to
get here and its 2 versions of Supersound, Home, Everybody pass me by.
Crazy fun samples, it did remind of the first coldcut album as someone
else mentioned but more rockish samples.
cause it took so long to arrive, the cool woman at divinyl sent me an
extra 12": Classen Collective, Close to greatness, that is excellent.
Its on JCR, Jazzanova Compost Records. Anyone know whats up with that?
I thought Jazzanova was group on Compost ?

Tate's Place - Burnin. got this for the jazzanova mix.

2 big ass compilations that I'm not sure what kind of music they qualify
as (dont start a genre name thread, I'll look up essential's post in the
archives = )
Splinter2 on Paper Recordings
Nuphonic 2- I got this one the strength of recommendations and The
Skies Not Crying track.
Also in the same vein The Amalgamation of Sound, EPV

whew, thats it for now, I'll let you know I have have any drastic
revelations after listening to everything 5 more times...

and now for the plug stuff:
if your in or near orlando, come down to knock knock Tuesday nights.
Chill downtempo with Levi, I'll be doing a guest spot 14th. And every
thursday night midnight to 3am try 91.5fm, I'm always playing as much
new downtempo and eclectic beat stuff as I can get my hands on each
week...
